Wilderness Emergency Care |
|
| Class Structure Although urban rescuers face many challenges, they usually have quick access to advanced medical care, transportation, shelter, and supplies. In the wild, you can expect to have none of these. Your supplies are what you pack or what you can find from your surroundings. Course Outline I. Preparation and Assessment II. Preventing and Caring for Injuries III. Specific Injuries IV. Environmental Hazards V. Biological Hazards VI. Medical Problems VII. Evacuation and Survival
Our Wilderness First Aid program is a two day, sixteen hour course designed to prepare people for delayed advanced care. We are a DUAL Training Agency, offering both ASHI and ECSI materials and courses. |
